Beds/linens excellent, shower curtains/liners need replacing, kitchen/porch need deep cleaning. Location excellent! Plenty of casual eating establishments close by w/Savannah only a 20 min. drive. Overall a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

The property met all of our needs. The family included three generations, from toddlers to seniors. We very much enjoyed the large, well furnished screened porch. It was where many of our family activities took place. Overall the property was well stocked, inclusive of beach chairs, wagon for transporting beach equipment and toys. The downstairs shower was very convenient, but beware of the wet concrete, as it is very slippery after showering. The location was ideal for visiting the beach. Highly recommended!

We love this house! Management was kind enough to let us have a later check out, since our flight was not until evening. It is an older home, however, so it has older home maladies like slow drains and a musty basement. My only complaints are that the beach towels and toys that were there last year were not there this year, so we had to scramble for those. Beach chairs and coolers were available for use, as was a cart with which to haul it all to the beach. We would recommend this place, primarily for its proximity to the beach and that fabulous screened porch from which the ocean can be seen. We had a rainy week, so we spent much time on the porch.

Loved our Tybee Time

We were celebrating my mom's 80th birthday and could not have chosen a more perfect place to be! Great access to the beach, plenty of space, and The Porch was amazing! There was plenty of space for all 10 of us and plenty of parking. We had one evening the air conditioner was not cooling as it should have but Tybee Cottages promptly took care of the situation.

This was not our first time to Tybee, but probably the best place we have stayed in the multiple times we have been there. The location is wonderful, close to the boardwalk to the beach, a particularly useful feature for the baby of our party (actually, his parents who had to do all the to & fro from house to beach...). As other reviewers have mentioned, the porch, the porch, the porch! A huge screened-in porch overlooked the street and had a view of the ocean. Wine & cheese there every night. Very comfortable and so pleasant! We were a party of 8, which included a baby; all were comfortably accommodated in the house. There is an outdoor shower, which was so useful after a day at the beach! Also bonus was the supply of beach chairs, coolers, and wagons to load & pull to the beach. The management was very kind, answering all our questions (what's the wifi password?) and allowing us a late check out, as our flight did not leave until 7 pm. The only critique I have is that we found we had to wash some of the glasses, cups, and flatware before use, as they were not clean (still had food stuck to them). There is a dishwasher, however, so it was not a big deal. We did not cook meals, per se (just kept breakfast and lunch supplies around), so I cannot comment on the extent of cook ware. We found the water to be a little harder than we prefer, so we bought a water filter pitcher from Walmart and that served us well. We loved our stay, will be back and can give this house 2 thumbs up!

6 Sixth Street Cottage

Had a great stay at this super clean and convenient beach cottage. Great screen porch and kitchen and separate basement area to banish the 20-somethings who stay up too late was a bonus! The cottage had an excellent supply of beach chairs, umbrellas, and other beach gear, probably the best of anywhere we've ever stayed. Finally, the location was very close to restaurants, shops, and kayak launches for paddling and fishing.

The rental was perfect for us. There were 9 of us who stayed in this house, and it was perfect. The location was great for spending the day at the beach, and we were close to everything. We had plenty of room to spread out in the house and the screened porch was amazing! We would definitely stay here again.

Our family had a wonderful time at this unique cottage. It was stocked with plenty of towels as well as beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys for the kids. We absolutely loved the huge screened porch. I’m sure we will be back to rent this Tybee cottage.

Wonderful Beach Retreat

My in laws and I had a wonderful stay at Sixth Street. The beach is a 30 second walk away. We spend the most time on the outdoor porch which provided ample room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with all cooking needs. Jim was very accommodating and quick to respond. I would definitely return for future vacations.

1) the house is a very short walk to the beach
2) it has a huge screened in porch with tons of seating
3) it is filled with colorful beach inspired decorations
4) the sheets and towels were thick, clean, and soft
5) the house had ample room for everyone

Holiday Weekend at Tybee

Our adult children and grandchildren spent a delightful long Easter weekend at Tybee. ( 6 adults and 5 children ages 1 to 7) This wonderfully decorated home is well equipped and comfortable for all ages. The fabulous breezy porch was everyone's favorite spot and includes a view of the ocean !

Great location, awesome balcony and literally the 3rd lot from the beach. Downstairs was great for the family and the house was well appointed with plenty of extras. I would recommend this property and plan to rent it again next year.

Fell in love upon arrival but a/c wasn't cooling house well. Called Jim and within the hour, a repairman was at the house and a/c was working. The rest of the weekend was perfect. It was always comfortably cool throughout the house despite high 90s weather. If you like to cook, you may want to bring your own props. One tiny spatula, no large spoons ... But that is a very MINOR annoyance considering the rest of the house was PERFECT. Comfortable beds, plenty of room to sit around and catch up with family. Large (extended) family with three locations - each location hosted a day and ours was a HUGE success. A very short walk to the beach, showers outside to get the sand off before coming into a delightfully comfortable downstairs with a large room where the teens gathered and a bedroom for the chaperone. Upstairs are three very comfortable bedrooms and a perfect kitchen/living room combo that leads onto the most perfect part of the house - a huge screened-in porch with picnic table, seating, and a comfortable sitting area. Also attached is a smaller open sitting area. All-in-all this was a PERFECT get-away on a perfect weekend. We will definitely rent Williams Cottage again and again! TOP NOTCH!

Our family and a couple of the wife's quilting buddy's had a great time at 6 sixth St, everyone enjoyed the stay. Plenty of room for the ten of us. The beach was only a few steps away, not really crowded on this spot on Tybee, and there was only one real loud and rude group that used the street parking in front of the house but we just ignored them and they soon left. My wife and her two sewing companions enjoyed the roomy screened in porch, we all really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Jim.

Classic Comfortable Beach House

Overall, the house was conveniently located, comfortable and relaxing. What it lacked in luxuries was more than made up with the relaxed comfort. I loved sitting on the screened in porch, reading a book, and listening to the windchime. My only issue - and it was VERY, VERY minor - was that the showers in the carport area (for rinsing off sand from the beach) were either cold or HOT with no working way to adjust the water temp.
The kitchen could use some "weeding out" of some dishes and utensils. None of the knives were sharper than a butter knife. Again, minor inconveniences and nothing that put a damper on our vacation.
One very nice thing about the kitchen was the large variety of spices in the cupboard so we did not have to buy a full container when we only needed a pinch of this or that.
The master suite was large and the bed was very comfortable.
Overall, the whole house just felt kind of like we had borrowed a family member's house while they were out of town. That, to me, is very comfortable and relaxing.

Great for large families, very comfortable and laid-back. We loved the outdoor shower and the girls/guys showers downstairs. Brilliant! The screened porch was our absolute favorite. We started and ended each day there. Good, roomy kitchen. Liked the various living/sleeping areas - lots of room to spread out or gather. Close proximity to the beach and the ocean view are priceless. We didn't know just how valuable the 4 parking spaces were until we watched all the parking on the street! We used and appreciated the beach chairs and the pull cart.

Extended family, including small children, had a wonderful time. Very child friendly, many amenities for families. Lovely porch,spacious seating--eating & playing areas. Only one minor issue which was immediately attended to by property management. This is a property in which you immediately feel "at home" & you sense that there are so many treasured family memories that took place here.

6 on 6th was a terrific beach cottage for our Family of 10. The cottage had a very relaxed and coastal atmosphere, and was only a short step to the beach. To be with my Grandson when he experiences the beach and ocean for the first time was a delight. Great location to several terrific restaurants and a short drive to the historical city of Savannah. Everyone loved the Hearse Ghost Tour!!!
Weather was a little cold in March. Would suggest waiting until April.
Jim Heflin was an excellent agent to work with. We will definitely come back to 6 on 6th again.
