You and your family will enjoy happy family time in this great house with wide porches, airy rooms, a large heated saltwater pool and close access to the beach! As Time Goes By is named for its historic status as an original 1920 Tybee Strand Cottage as well as a sweet reminder of the owners' first dance as a married couple. The home has hardwood floors, beadboard walls, tall 14' ceilings with transom windows, a claw foot bathtub and a wide curving porch on three sides. Acclaimed designer and preservationist Jane Coslick's touch is everywhere in this home from the inviting bed on the porch for napping, to the built-in bunk room with individual reading lights for each bunk, to the beautiful and comfortable furnishings throughout. Jane has kept a soothing white color palette and added lots of beachy turquoise with pops of pink, orange and citron through original artwork, vintage furniture finds and cool lighting and accessories from some of her favorite makers (including Stray Dogs Designs and Ro Sham Beaux lighting).
There are four steps up to the main level which features an updated kitchen with island seating for 4, light filled dining room with seating for up to 12, laundry, living room with large tv, as well as the master bedroom (King bed) with private brand new full bath and guest bedroom (two Queen beds) with brand new full bath.
Upstairs is a third bedroom (Queen bed) with adjoining reading nook, bunkroom (four Twin beds), a shared full bath, and upstairs den with TV and game table along with a peek of an ocean view!
There is plenty of room and seating on the large wraparound porch for reading, visiting and dining al fresco. Or just hanging out and enjoying the Tybee breezes! The porch also has a ping pong table. The large heated saltwater pool is the focal point of the outdoor spaces complete with a large deck with dining table and outdoor shower.
