Traveling with kids can be difficult on its own, let alone finding kid-friendly  that they'll enjoy as much as you do while on vacation. Savannah has a wide array of free things to do for kids, from taking advantage of our moderate weather to entire museums dedicated to children education. Take a look at the below 10 free things to do when traveling with kids to Savannah after you book your stay with us!

1. Play in the Splash Pad at Ellis Square

Ellis Square is in the heart of the Downtown Historic District, surrounded by hotels, shops and restaurants (most notably: Savannah's City Market). Not only is this one of the busiest squares in Savannah, but it doubles as your kiddo's perfect place to cool down on these humid Savannah days. Bonus for parents: Wet Willies is a short walk away and is sure to keep mom and dad cool without getting wet.

2. Blow off some steam at the playground in Forsyth Park

Traveling with kids can be hard (we get it!) That's why we added the playground at Forsyth Park to our list. Not only can you snap a pic in front of the infamous Savannah Fountain, but this scenic park is filled with shady spots to run and play, and a newly-built playground to wear your little one out. Get the best of both worlds and schedule this day time activity for a Saturday or Sunday morning and you will most likely stumble upon the Local Savannah Farmer's Market! Now that's what I can a win win.

Want to stay close by? These downtown Savannah vacation rentals are a short walk from Forsyth Park.

3. Have a Beach Day at Tybee Island
