Founded in 1997 by Jim and Becky Heflin, Tybee Cottages is one of the longest-running rental companies on the island. In 2022, we worked with the Heflins to purchase Tybee Cottages upon retiring after an amazing 25-year run, ensuring the company and its reputation will continue for years to come.
Our love for Tybee runs deep. My family rented homes on North Beach for years before moving to the area permanently in 1992. I grew up enjoying the water slide, putt-putt, and funnel cakes on 15th Street, long since gone. My first summer job was parking cars in the dirt lot across from City Hall, now a condo development. My wife also grew up spending summers on the island, and we’re fortunate to enjoy a classic Tybee Cottage her family renovated in 1998. Her parents' first date was at the original Tybee Pier, of all places!
Tybee Island is the source of some of our most cherished family memories, and Tybee Cottages allows us the opportunity to help create those same memories for our guests.
