"First of all, very thankful Tybee was spared from Hurricane Ian! Girls trip to Savannah and Tybee Island (from MI), both beautiful and wonderful getaway destinations. Blue Moon was everything we hoped for in a quaint cottage! Absolutely, loved it, and just steps from the amazing sunrise over the ocean! The staff were so helpful, both w/planning and giving advice as needed. If we would ever have the opportunity to visit again, we would look to Tybee Cottages again. ��"

"The pictures of this cottage are just as it looked in real life! The bedroom and bathroom arrangement were perfect for our family. The pool was an added bonus to relax in after a day at the beach. The location of this house was also great, not too close to the noise but easy walking distance to what we needed.
The house could use a deep clean. The main bathroom walls were covered in soap scum and the floors were really dirty in the corner areas. The small kitchen was serviceable for our cooking but finding the items we needed was difficult as they were spread around the kitchen. Most all of the items needed to be washed before we used them- not cleaned properly.
This cute cottage sleeps 7 very comfortably. We enjoyed using the Blue Moon Cottage as our home base for the week."

Nanette, I'm so sorry to hear the home was not to our or your cleaning standards. Please do not heistate to ever call us upon arrival for us to send a housekeeper out and make it right. "Overall the cottage was adorable, I would give the cottage a 3 for cleanliness due to the fans fans being very dusty that were hanging in each room, the pool was not clean at all, it was very sandy, and the box fans that were there for us to use had to be also cleaned off. They were filthy. We cleaned them best we could. The house could have used a better deep clean than it was for guest to stay at. We did leave a telescope for the other guest to use for anyone’s pleasure.

Hayley, I certainly hate to see you had this experience. I wish you would have given us a call so we could have sent someone over immediately. This is certainly not our normal standards. We have a pool service that cleans & services the pool on a regular basis but is happy to come out between times if needed. "Lovely cottage-- historic with a fun, modern feel-- lots of color. Wonderful large screen porch to enjoy the weather and early mornings and late nights from. Plenty of room for my family to spread out. Smart TVs for rainy days. The pool was an added plus to enjoy the sun and take a dip. Close to literally everything- grocery store right around the corner and a quick three minute walk to the beach. Loved it and will definitely return!"

"My husband and I stayed in Blue Moon cottage with my son’s family. Our two young granddaughters loved the pool and could manage the walk to the beach. The weather was perfect and we had a fun and restful stay. This is our second year in a row. "

"Spent a week in this adorable rental before my daughter headed back to school for the year. I'm a Savannah local so it was a stay-cation for us. This cottage had everything we needed. The AC was terrific and the additional oscillating fans in every room made my nights asleep peaceful. The location is a very close to the main strip on Tybee. The pool was an added bonus for evening swims. I highly recommend this cottage!"

"The four bedroom cottage has a large, breezy wrap around screened in deck as a great family gathering space to start or wrap up the day. The bedrooms accommodated 3 families and a teenager easily. A short walk to the beach. The cottage was clean and very comfortable, and the property management was great to work with."

"Blue Moon is a perfect beach vacation. The home was beautifully decorated and the it’s impossible not to love the porch. The moon pies snack were a wonderful treat after a long traveling day. We especially enjoyed the location of this cottage and felt it was perfectly located for our family. My sons, eight and ten years old loved biking all over the island. My eight year old especially feel in love with Tybee island declaring it the best beach he has ever visited because “the people are cool and they even have skeletons out when it’s not even Halloween”. "We had a wonderful family vacation at the Blue Moon Cottage. This cottage is beautifully furnished and has plenty of space for 1-2 families. It has great amenities including an outdoor shower, private pool, and a huge screened porch. The beach is a short walk away as is the grocery store. We loved riding our bikes to restaurants and shops. "

"This is the second time we have stayed at Blue Moon cottage and it is wonderful! I love the updated big chill appliances that are a beautiful blue. The house flows well and it made it easy to stay there with three little kids. The big screened in porch is a must when you visit Tybee so I would definitely recommend this cottage! "We had a party of Six. The house had four bedrooms which was perfect for our family. The open living room, dining room, and kitchen Was family friendly. The house interior decorations were impressive. Our granddaughters loved the swimming pool. The adults loved the edge inside the pool to sit on and cool off. Our vacation was a welcome break from the cold weather up north."

"Our family had planned this vacation in February 2020 for a stay in September. Little did we know that COVID-19 would be still among us. The Blue Moon Cottage was a welcome distraction from the virus to be with family. The cottage was more than comfortable with ample bedrooms and bathrooms for all (5 adults and 2 toddlers ages 3 and 1). We enjoyed the huge porch after the children went to bed and the saltwater pool was wonderful too. The short walk to the grocery and the beach made it nice to not have to drive as well. A big thanks to Jim Heflin for his flexability with check-in and check-out. Looking forward to our next visit to the Blue Moon cottage."

"We postponed our trip from May due to covid. It was a cute cottage. We loved the new kitchen appliances and all the Knickknacks. The porch was perfect for our group of 6. We did expect it to be a little cleaner especially due to The virus- (clothes were In the dresser and the dryer)we just had to do a little cleaning no big deal. Maybe in the future have some Clorox wipes for guests or some type of assurance it’s been cleaned. Maybe some hand sanitizer ? Other than that it was a great time. Thanks Jim."

"It was great to get away after being quarantined for several months. Covid was still kind of a looming cloud over the week, but the cottage was beautiful and it was easy to feel at home the moment we walked in the door. "

"Blue Moon Cottage was perfect for our mother daughter visit to Tybee. It was only a few blocks from the beach, shops, and restaurants. It felt like an old school beach cottage but was also clean and bright. The tiny tear shaped pool was ideal for our girls to play and the wrap around porch was very comfortable to read a book or have a glass of wine. "

"We enjoyed this cottage immensely. It's well located with easy access to the beach and the small shopping district to the south. The large porch was great for relaxing after a day in the sun. The cottage was clean and cute as a button.

The cottage is comfortable and has most everything you need, though there were a few small things that would've been nice to know we'd have to supply without having to run to the store after realizing there was none to be had (TP, trash bags, sponge for dishes, etc), and the dishwasher is quirky. But don't let those things stop you - it's an enjoyable stay.

"Blue moon was the most cozy home ever .This home was very convenient to beach and to the grocery store . The pool was such a plus and ended our day at the beach perfectly .we will definitely be returning to this vacation home again ."

"We had plenty of space to play games in the evenings, eat meals, and enjoy each others company. The kitchen had a lot of things that most rentals don't offer, which made preparing meals, extremely simple.
The walk to the beach was very short, we were able to find some fun things to do (Escape Tybee, Mike's Dolphin Tour sunset cruise, touring the lighthouse, and going on the pier in the evening were some of our favorites) the ocean was very calm, and the kids especially enjoyed the pool. Coco's restaurant was delicious and we received great service. Overall this was a very nice place to stay and family friendly!

"Our Girl Trip 2017 destination was Blue Moon Cottage on Tybee Island. As far as we're concerned (and our group of over-55 ladies have stayed in some very nice accommodations over the years of our friendship and travels!), this rental property is ideal--for many reasons. First, it is very roomy. Four of us made the trip to Tybee and each of us had our own bedroom--a first! The dining room/living room area is also very spacious. Second, the screened-in, wrap-around porch! We enjoyed cool, breezy, bug-free evenings there (with adult beverages in hand, of course!) nightly. Third, the pool! It's not Olympic-size but it's lovely and more than adequate. It was a nice way to take a break from the beach and still enjoy sun and water. Fourth, the location! It's a very easy, level 3-block walk to the beach (and the IGA for incidentals). Fifth, the décor! "Charming" may seem like a trite term, but the owners have done an artful job making the cottage feel like "upscale beach motif". (I think I may have just coined a phrase!) Sixth, the clear communications from the rental agent and accessibility when minor issues arose (the battery on one of the smoke alarms needed replaced and the Wi-Fi went on the fritz temporarily). Seventh, eighth, and ninth (I could go on and on), the cleanliness of the property (A+), proximity to area restaurants (one after another!), and ease of parking. This property would be ideal for family vacations."

"House was comfortable, quiet neighborhood, 3 blocks to beach, and about 6 to fishing pier. No need to ever leave the island if you don't want. Bike, Kayak, rent boats, golf carts, or little electric scooters to explore the island. House was cleaned and well appointed with towels, cooking utensils, beach chairs. Just bring yourself. you can even have them shop and stock for you."

"We rented Blue Moon for a week and we would have loved to stay another week. We had 7 adults and with the 4 bedrooms and spacious living lroom it never felt crowded. Everyone's favorite place was the beautiful wrap around porch. When we weren't on the porch or inside, we were out on the patio grilling or just sitting enjoying the nice surroundings outside. We would rent this great beach house again without hesitation. Another great plus is it has a great air conditioning system!!! Also the kitchen had everything we needed."

"Our stay at the Blue Moon was everything we hoped for. The cottage was cute, the porch was exceptional, the location was good and the price was even better! It is just a short walk to the beach and we had no problem hauling all of our gear. We had one small problem when we checked in, the cleaning crew had not cleaned the floors and they were gritty with sand and blackened our feet. I called Jim to let him know and there was a very nice lady at the cottage with in an hour! When we got back from the beach there wasn't even so much as a speck of sand on a single floor and Jim had her leave a brand new mop just in case. The furniture was very comfortable and in good condition and the decorating was just what you would hope to see in an island cottage. It was a breeze working with Jim to put our vacation together he was VERY nice. I loved how he greeted me with a "Hey" every time we spoke. The cottage had everything we needed to be comfortable and didn't lack anything that we didn't have at home. Although we didn't do much cooking, I appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. This was our fourth time staying on Tybee as a family and all agreed that this was our favorite cottage and God willing we will be staying there again. I highly recommend booking a stay with Tybee Cottages. You will want for nothing and receive everything. "

"Loved the Blue Moon Cottage! It was a great experience and fit our group perfectly! Never know if it is as good as the pictures and was even better. Had family and friends staying and I was concerned what they would think and it was all very positive.
The porch is worth the stay, but only got to use it one evening because of the weather! 9 month old grandson sure enjoyed the basket of toys. The location of the cottage was perfect for us and we all had a wonderful vacation. I would love to come back to Tybee and stay at the Blue Moon again. "A wonderful older home. There was seven adults in our group and we had plenty of room. Kitchen was small, but that is typical in older homes. Was very clean when we checked-in. My favorite part was the wrap around porch. The only part I would change would be to remove the TV from the porch. This house is my favorite of all older homes I have stayed at in Tybee."

"We loved the cottage. The atmosphere was great: a beautiful, old house; wrap-around, screened porch; and very cute beach decorating everywhere. There was plenty of room and everything we needed as far as cookware, etc. Booking was very easy. The people at Tybee Island Cottages are very nice! The only thing we weren't crazy about was 10 am checkout. Seems awful early for vacation. One bathroom was not very clean when we checked in. The street was a little busy."

Fireworks to see while sitting on the beach or even in the water with a lite refreshing breeze. A well appointed cottage with all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay."

"Loved the porch and layout of the cottage. Walking distance to beach and resterants was close. Traffic on Jones Ave. was a bit busier than I liked for sitting on the porch. Overall it worked well for us. Kitchen work area is small. Would also be great to have a couple small beach chairs to use."
