This vintage Tybee beach cottage has the screen porch you've always dreamed of. It's the last house before the beach, and although you can't see the ocean for the tropical foliage, you can hear the waves crashing and feel that refreshing breeze. Wicker chairs, rocking chairs, a chaise lounge, dining tables, ceiling else could a screen porch need?

Families will appreciate the large kitchen with a small breakfast table that opens into an even larger living area with comfortable seating and a TV. A dining table for six is on one end of this room, and a bamboo table for 4 is on the other end. And from here, go through the French Doors to the porch to read, nap, or have a cocktail.

The bedrooms are spacious, as is the rest of the cottage, with plenty of room for the kids to play. The king bedroom shares a full bath (tub/shower combo) with a twin bedroom. Another twin bedroom has a half bath.

Vintage beach decor and a private walkway to the beach complete the picture for a happy family vacation.

Recent Reviews About This Property

"We stayed in this lovely cottage for 5 nights and hated when we had to leave. The place was clean and full of light! We were a party of 6 women encompassing 3 generations, spending time relaxing, bonding, laughing and enjoying the beach. We fell in love with this abode and plan to visit it again as soon as possible! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and even included a recycle bin. Having a full washer and dryer was a bonus!
Jim at Tybee Cottages was a delight and made everything pleasant and simple.
I highly recommend this company and this vacation home. "

"Awesome 4th of July week with the family. Tons of entertaining room. Porch to die for. We loved everything about our stay. Didn’t want to leave!"

"Family of five had a lovely week at an original Tybee Cottage with an awesome front porch!"

Noreen H. from , 09/03/2018

"We take our family to Tybee every summer for the past 10 years. We enjoy the non commercial environment of the beach and the family that we still have in the Savannah area. Our four grandkids enjoy the surf. We have stayed at the same house now for two years and have tentatively reserved the same time slot for 2019. The home is a typical old Tybee home with the big screened porch as the main attraction. "

"The property managers allowed us to check in early, the house is wonderful, walking distance to just about every place you want to go on the island. Across the street from the grocery store, the private beach access was a real bonus. Furnishings were stylish, the place was spotless, cozy and the porch is very spacious and welcoming with enough privacy."

"My family and I had a wonderful time on Tybee in this house! We especially loved the giant screened in porch and private walkway to the beach!"

"Our family certainly enjoyed our stay at 4 10th Terrace! This house was such a treat! It was even larger than I expected and very spacious. The porch is wonderful! It reminded me of what Tybee houses were like when I was growing up. This is such a good 'ol classic Tybee beach house. I was impressed how the house was equipped with all the beach necessities. Also, Jim was great! He made sure everything was well and taken care of. "

"Peaceful. Relaxing. Just what the doctor ordered."

Sandy G. from , 05/31/2017

"Our family had a wonderful time at 4 10th Terrace! We were so impressed with how well the house was accommodated: the quality and quantity of cookware, selection of games and beach toys, and other thoughtful details.

We also adored the layout: the bright, open living room made for perfect play space for my three-year-old niece and I've never been on a better porch. The proximity to the beach was perfect for us: a bit of a hike down the long boardwalk, but easily manageable.

Jim's quick help in securing us our rental after other plans fell through allowed for a wonderful weekend for my mom, and we are already talking about coming back.

Thank you so much for your help and for helping us find such a wonderful rental home!"

How do you access the beach from this home?

Asked On 04/12/2017 Answered on 04/13/2017

There is a newly built walk over bridge that takes you from the front yard to the base of the last sand dune. A photo of the bridge will be up soon.
