Frequently Asked Questions

• We rent weekly from Saturday to Saturday, May 26th until August 11th, 2012.
• Three day minimum rentals are most welcome from January 1st until May 26th and from August 11th until December 31st, 2012 with the exception of winter holidays.
• The rates quoted on Tybee Cottages web site are the In Season weekly base rates which do not include the 13% tax and clean up fee. The clean up fee varies depending on the size of the home. The Out Of Season rates are at least 20% less than the In Season rates.
• Check in time is 4:00 pm and check out time is 10:00 am.
• No party clause: Tybee Cottages does not rent properties for the purpose of celebrating an event (Graduation, Prom, Birthdays, Weddings, etc.) or to individuals whose intention is to allow people on the property in excess of the occupancy limits of the property for any reason without the express written consent of Tybee Cottages.
• All of our properties are smoke free.
• All of our properties with the exception of one are not pet friendly.
• What is provided and what is not: Tybee Cottages supplies a basic supply of bed and bath linens in each property. The startup set of bath soap, toilet tissue, and trash bags are not replenished. Beach towels are not provided in all of the rental properties, so we recommend that you bring your own. Each of our units are furnished with a minimum of the following items based on the unit’s occupancy limit: Bed linens & bath towels, pillows & bedspreads, broom, dustpan, mop, plunger, basic cooking utensils, coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishes, glassware & flatware, and television.
• Maximum occupancy and parking capacity: Each unit is designed to accommodate a certain number guests. The number of guests occupying a property is limited to the number stated on Tybee Cottages web site under each property. All cars including guests must be parked in the driveway or designated area of the rental property at all times.
• Cancellation Policy: If the reservation is cancelled greater than 60 days of your check in, your money is fully refundable. If you cancel within 60 days of your check in, your money is refundable only if Tybee Cottages re-rents your property. In the event of a mandatory evacuation of Tybee Island and you have not yet arrived, your money is fully refundable. In case you are already here and there is a mandatory evacuation, the unused days are refunded in full.
• Trip Insurance is offered by Tybee Cottages through CSA Travel Protection (www.vacationprotection.com). Please click the Rental Agreement tab to view/print a policy.  It is strongly recommended that your purchase travel insurance in the case of an unexpected cancellation, evacuation, or medical emergency.  The policy also includes many more benefits than you would expect; i.e., Rental Car Insurance, Medical/Dental, 24 hour Road Side Assistance, etc...
